Words for life 12th June 2016 XI SUNDAY (C)
In today’s reading we find Jesus talking to Simon, a pharisee and a woman of the town known as a sinner. Saying that to whom much is forgiven, loves so much more, Jesus defends this woman because of her repentance and her great love. He says to her: «Your sins are forgiven….your faith has saved you; go in peace.»
These words of our Lord remind us of the guilt and remorse we feel in Confession and the need to clear and cleanse our conscience. Going back to the Ten Commandments, the Beatitudes and the doctrine of the Church will enable us to want to live as children of God.
