WORDS FOR LIFE

  1. This parable reminds us of the need to remember always our proper social position and to ensure that our blind ambition doesn’t send us on a mad race for ever higher goals.
  2. This craving for apparent progress occurs when we allow our desire for honour, power and superiority to get the better of us.
  3. Genuine humility will not prevent us from enjoying social relationships and status in our profession, and from receiving the respect which everyone deserves.
