Homily of Pope John Paul II – The Wedding Feast of Cana

I would like to emphasize here that our Lord is continuously being called upon by individuals and communities. Perhaps there is no-one on this earth that has had so many invitations. Our Lord accepts these invitations. He gives himself to us and our communities. Dear brothers and sisters, this is what we have to remember. Also, our Church is like the Wedding Feast of Cana where our Lord is invited. He has accepted our invitation and is present amongst us. His unceasing presence is forever with us. He is also present in our communities. Our guest of honor willingly accepts our invitation and comes to stay. I ask you to give some thought to the presence of our Lord in our Church and in each one of us. Are you going to be very welcoming?
